If you’re going to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, or Bahrain for work, your visa cannot be stamped until you pass a GAMCA medical test. That test starts with one document: the GAMCA medical token, also called a Wafid token. Without it, no approved medical center in Pakistan will examine you.

This guide covers the 2026 process end to end, using the current Wafid Program Regulations — what the token is, what it costs, how to book it from anywhere in Pakistan, and how to check your slip once it’s issued. What is a GAMCA medical token

GAMCA stands for the Gulf Cooperation Council Approved Medical Centers Association. The booking and reporting system behind it is called Wafid, run by the Gulf Health Council (GHC). People still say “GAMCA token” because that’s the name that stuck, but the portal you actually use today is wafid.com.

The token is your appointment slip. It carries your name, passport number, the medical center assigned to you, and the date you’re expected to show up. You pay for it online, and the medical center will not see you without it.

Under the current Wafid Program Regulations (8th version, adopted October 2025), Pakistan is one of the countries where GHC accredits medical centers directly, and the accreditation standard for Pakistan is set at 95% — the highest tier the program uses, alongside India, Bangladesh, and Egypt.

Documents you need before booking

• A clear picture of your passport
• The city where you want your appointment
• The country you’re traveling to
• Your marital status

If any of these details are wrong when you book, especially the passport number, the slip can get rejected at the clinic and you lose the fee. Wafid does allow a free correction request through the medical center after the fact, but it’s slower than getting it right the first time. The official Wafid appointment fee is USD 10 per applicant, set directly by the Gulf Health Council. In Pakistan, booking platforms convert this to PKR and add local bank charges and a processing fee, which is why you’ll usually see a rupee figure rather than the dollar amount. This does not include the medical examination fee, which is paid separately at the clinic on the day of your test.

How to book a GAMCA medical token: step by step

1. Go to wafid.com or book through us. If you’re doing it yourself, the form is under “Book an Appointment.” If you’d rather not deal with the form in English, message us and we fill it in for you.
2. Select your country and the GCC destination. Choose Pakistan as your country, then the Gulf country you’re traveling to. The medical center is assigned automatically based on your city — you cannot pick a specific center yourself.
3. Enter your passport details exactly as they appear on your passport. No abbreviations, no guessing spellings.
4. Choose your city. We route clients to the nearest approved center with the soonest opening, based on the list further down this page.
5. Pay the appointment fee. Easypaisa, JazzCash, bank transfer, or card all work through most Pakistani booking platforms. We accept these too if you’re booking through us.
6. Receive your slip. It arrives by email, and if you book with us, over WhatsApp as well.
7. Visit the assigned center as soon as possible after generating the slip. The slip is valid for one month from the issue date — don’t book weeks ahead of your actual travel or exam date. Carry your original passport, a photocopy of the passport, your CNIC, the medical slip, and a passport-size photo when you go.

GAMCA medical token check online: how to see your slip or report status

Once you’ve booked, you can check your token or your test result on the Wafid portal:

1. Go to wafid.com and open “Appointment Slips” to reprint your slip, or “Medical Examination Result” to check your report.
2. Enter your passport number and select your nationality, or use your slip number instead.
3. Enter the captcha shown on screen and click check.

According to Wafid’s own FAQ, your medical result appears within 26 days of the exam. If nothing shows up before that, it usually means the center hasn’t uploaded your result yet. If you booked through us, message us your passport number and we’ll check it for you and send you the slip or report as a PDF over WhatsApp.

What the medical test actually involves

The GAMCA test is a general fitness screening. At the center, expect a general physical exam, blood tests including HIV and Hepatitis B and C screening, a chest X-ray mainly to check for tuberculosis, a urine test, and a basic eye and hearing check. There’s no minimum or maximum age for booking.

The whole visit usually takes two to three hours. Go early in the morning and go on an empty stomach if you can — some blood tests are more reliable that way, and it also means you avoid the midday queue.

How long is the report valid, and what if I need a new one

The medical certificate issued through Wafid is valid for two months from the issue date, for the purpose of obtaining or authenticating your visa. If your current report is still valid, you can only book a fresh appointment two months after the date of that report — the system won’t let you rebook earlier just because you want a newer date.

If your result comes back unfit

An unfit result is entered into the shared GCC medical database. Per the current regulations, the infectious and non-infectious conditions that trigger an unfit status include HIV, Hepatitis B or C, malaria, leprosy, active or past tuberculosis and related chest X-ray findings, kidney or liver failure, heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension or diabetes, certain cancers, and some psychiatric or neurological conditions. Trying to reapply under different details is against the rules and can result in a longer ban. If you get an unfit result, ask the center what the specific finding was — some conditions are treatable, and a fresh test after treatment can clear you. The medical center is assigned automatically by the system based on your city, but it helps to know which approved centers serve your area and how to reach them directly if you need to confirm an appointment or ask about your report.
