UAE Responds to Visa Ban News on Pakistanis
Let me be clear and straight: there is NO visa ban on Pakistanis by the UAE. Many people got worried after online rumors, TikTok videos, and some misleading news, but the UAE Consul General in Karachi has now officially stated that all types of UAE visas are still open for Pakistanis—tourist visas, work visas, family visas, and business visas.

What Actually Happened
Visa rejections have recently become a recurring issue for Pakistanis travelling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), despite the Gulf country’s close diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties with Pakistan. Abu Dhabi is Islamabad’s major trading partner in the Middle East and a key source of remittances, hosting a large Pakistani expatriate population. Also due to the unusual rejection of visas , rumors began to spread that the UAE had imposed visa ban on pakistan.
UAE’s Official Clarification
The UAE Consul General, Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, explained that:
applications are being processed normally
there is no visa ban
this is the busiest period in the last 3 years
due to heavy demand, some applicants may need to wait longer
visa categories are not restricted for Pakistanis
Why the Rumors Started
A statement was made during a Senate meeting in Pakistan by an official, suggesting that Pakistani visas were restricted and only diplomatic passport holders were allowed.
This created confusion and panic. But the UAE immediately denied those claims and said they were incorrect
