Italy Offers Over 10000 Jobs to Pakistani Workers Under New Labour Agreement

Italy Offers Over 10000 Jobs to Pakistani Workers

Italy Offers Over 10000 Jobs to Pakistani Workers Under New Labour Agreement over the next three years.

This development has been confirmed by multiple Pakistani media outlets, including Dawn News, and is being seen as a positive step for overseas employment from Pakistan.

According to official details, Italy has allocated a special labour quota for Pakistan, making it the first European country to do so in this way. Under this agreement, 10,500 Pakistani workers will be given legal employment opportunities in Italy between 2026 and 2028.

Jobs Available for Pakistani Workers in Italy

The jobs offered by Italy cover a wide range of sectors. These include ship breaking, agriculture, healthcare, hospitality, and technical trades. Skilled and semi-skilled workers will be eligible for these roles.

Some of the key job categories include welders, technicians, chefs, waiters, housekeeping staff, nurses, medical technicians, farm workers, and agricultural laborers. This makes the program suitable for people with different skill levels and work backgrounds.

Yearly Job Quota Breakdown

Under the agreement, 3,500 Pakistani workers will be hired each year.
This yearly quota is divided into two parts:

  • Seasonal jobs: 1,500 workers per year

  • Non-seasonal jobs: 2,000 workers per year

Seasonal jobs usually include agriculture and farming-related work, while non-seasonal jobs cover healthcare, hospitality, technical trades, and industrial roles.

Why This Agreement Is Important

This agreement is important for Pakistan for several reasons. It opens legal and organized pathways for overseas employment, reduces the risk of illegal migration, and helps skilled workers find stable jobs in Europe. It also strengthens economic ties between Pakistan and Italy.

Officials have stated that the goal is not only to provide jobs but also to ensure proper documentation, worker protection, and transparent recruitment.

Upcoming Pakistan–Italy Meeting

To further improve cooperation, the second meeting of the Pakistan–Italy Joint Working Group is scheduled to take place in Islamabad in February 2026. This meeting is expected to finalize procedures related to recruitment, worker training, and visa processing.

How Pakistani Workers Can Prepare

Pakistani workers interested in working in Italy should focus on improving their skills, work experience, and documentation. Having a valid passport, relevant work certificates, and basic language understanding can increase chances of selection once official applications open.

Workers are advised to stay alert and apply only through legal and government-approved channels to avoid fraud.
