Airblue Wants to Start UK Flights – Big News for Pakistani Travelers

Airblue, a well-known private airline of Pakistan, has officially applied to start UK flights. The airline submitted its application to the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and is now waiting for final approval.

If all goes well, Airblue plans to launch direct flights from Islamabad to Manchester as early as August 2025.

Britain has lifted a five-year ban on Pakistani airlines, allowing them to apply to resume UK flights just as the government steps up efforts to privatise the Pakistan International Airlines.

Jane Marriott, the British High Commissioner in Pakistan, praised the move and said:

“I look forward to flying with Pakistani airlines.”
