Overstay Visa Fine in Saudi Arabia: New Penalty Rules

The Saudi Ministry of Interior has announced strict new rules for people who stay in the Kingdom after their visas expire. As per a recent Saudi Gazette report, the overstay visa fine in Saudi Arabia can now go up to:

  • 💸 SR50,000 fine

  • ⛓️ Up to 6 months in jail

  • ✈️ Deportation from Saudi Arabia

    Hajj is Not Allowed on Regular Visas

    The ministry clearly said that only people with a Hajj visa can perform the Hajj pilgrimage. People coming on other types of visas are not allowed to do Hajj.

    Companies Will Also Be Fined

    The Ministry also reminded Hajj and Umrah service companies that they must report pilgrims who stay longer than their visa.

    If a company fails to report them, they may be fined up to SR100,000.
